JPDIPSO (4210), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Apr 17, 2007 LIght chestnut color with a taller off-tan head. Dry malts and somewhat nutty aromas that are appropriate. Hints of wood, dark chocolate and dark caramel. Flavors of toffee coated hazelnuts and lightly roasted malt. Not a bad nut brown. keoki182 (298), West Bend, Wisconsin, USA Apr 3, 2007 Riverside’s most recent Brewmaster’s Choice is a fine example of a nut brown ale. Transparent mahogany, light brown lacings around glass. Little actual head save for murky web on top of beer in glass. Slight nutty aroma. Flavor was as malty as one would expect a brown ale to be, good roasty taste. More of an English style brown than an American brown, I can’t complain about this one. Definitely one of their better Brewmaster’s Choice ales lately.
