Nose is roasted malt with slight chocolate. nice and creamy mouthfeel, roasty with a sour tang, however so slight. Mouthfeel is a bith thin. Touch of caramel, maybe, mild bitterness at the end with a touch of astingency. Decent. I’m a fan. LinusStick (1846), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of roasted malt. Pour was the usual and nice deep dark brown with a two finger tan head. Taste was roasty and thin. Roasted malt in the front and just a hint of bitter coffee on the back of the tongue for the aftertaste. zebracakes (1215), Washington DC, USA

As good as or better than the widget beers that come from the UK. Really good example of a Brit Dry stout. Finish is slightly bitter. Good old flat stout, just like any other. However, can’t hold a candle to Troegs as far as enjoyability goes. FROTHINGSLOSH (2015), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Jul 2, 2007 Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a black color with a small brown head. The aroma was roasty and malty. The flavor was roasty and bitter with a hint of coffee. The beer was certainly dry. There was a long bitter roasty finish. Bear in mind that I am not a big fan of dry Irish stouts.
