Rivertowne Cross Eyed Rye

Pale yellow lager appearnce. Aroma is nothing special, just clean friendly and beery. Has a slight bitter medicinal background. Not over the top in any way. Typical pour house flavors. Not overwhelming like most rye beers I’ve had. Fairly easy to appreciate, not difficult at least.

Draught sample from the Pour House. Light buttery aroma, with mild malt sweetness and some fleeting hop bitterness. Orange amber clear with thin head. Medium watery body and medium carbonation. Starts with rye grain astringency and some malt sweetness. Decent flavor, with sweet-nutty bitter finish and light bitter after.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a dark amber color with a white head. The aroma was dry and crisp with notes of floral and fruity hops. The flavor was dry, malty and crisp with floral and fruity hops and a touch of spice. Fairly unremarkable.
