dpjuart (670), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 10, 2007 Draft. Dark amber to red. Small head. Wierdest tasted ever, but not in a bad way. Good malt profile+great hop bill+bourbon=wah-wah-wee-wah! Its wet hopped, so its mild in bitterness, but big on hop flavor. Mouthfeel is great and body is pretty full. There is a touch of alcohol, but it is subtle. This could sneak up on you. Very, very good beer. This is my first BA IIPA, and was a great example of it. Nate (2533), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 3, 2007 Draught at Pour House. Nice bourbon aroma mingled with vanilla and fruity hops. Very silky and woody. Great aroma. Dark amber clear, slight haze, with very little head. Medium heavy watery body with smooth light carbonation, almost like it was on hand pump. Starts with smooth bourbon flavored malt, medium sweetness. Vanilla and oak, then a mild warming sweet alcohol, followed by medium bitter hoppiness. Haven’t had many BA IPAs but this is quite tasty. Alcohol is deceiving.
