Aurelius (2643), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jun 30, 2008 Clear marzen color. Faint aroma. Toastede seed flavor. Light bittering. Muddled is all I can say. A bit flat, medium to medium light body. A little bittering in the backend. Not my favorite style, not a good example of the style. dpjuart (670), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 29, 2008 Draft Sample at the Pour House. Pours clear amber with little head. Nose is lots and lots of malt. Taste is sweet honey and caramel malt with some fruity notes and some alcohol warmth. Mild hop flavor and a decent bitter. Alcohol flavor and warmth lingers well into the after. Naka (524), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 17, 2008 Sampled on tap at the Pour House. Strong apple-y malt nose. A littel banana as well. Clear orange / amber colored with a decent white frothy head that lasted for quite a while. The flavor has a lot of fruit. Brown sugar with a little bit of bitterness. Some grassy Saaz in the finish. A butter texture, but a little too light on the carbonation.
