Aurelius (2469), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jun 30, 2008 Cereal aroma with a little wet dog. Hazy red with a thin head. West coast hops make this an APA in my book. Fiarly bitter, cracker/biscuity at times. Dry. A little salty. Light body. Salt-bitter finish.
Naka (415), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 14, 2008 Courtesy of Juart from a growler. Pours a deep amber copper color with a slight foamy beige head. The nose is some fresh apricot with some brown sugar and peach. A very mild flavor. Grainy and very bitter. Has some brown sugar and a little smokiness. A little watery, but leaves a very nice bitterness on the tongue. santoslhalper (166), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 5, 2008 Big ups to dpjuart for sharing his growler. Clear copper with a small white head. The aroma and taste are both dead on in the malt department, but the fruity, piny, and citric hops are just too much. The balance is way off, and this is anything but an alt. dpjuart (555), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 1, 2008 6/28/08 - Draft sample at brewpub. Pours clear red/amber with rimming white head, slight brown. Nose is slight hops and malty caramel. Taste is all earthy, piny hops with a decent malt backbone, caramel and mild roast/chocolate. Moderate bitter. Tasty offering. Nate (2239), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 3, 2007 Draught at the Pour House. Has a yeasty bready aroma, with mild grain notes and bread crust. Flowery hops with citrus, mild alt profile but not quite reminisecnt of Düsseldorf. Hazy dark amber with thin lacing head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Starts with carbonic tang, mild maltiness, and a good hit of bitterness. Nutty, with roasted grain, dry bitterness. Finish is bitter, leaving some chalkiness on the tongue. A little to hoppy and harsh for an Alt, but tastes good.
