341mL bottle from a mixed sixer, purchased from a cool little Dep in Hull-Gatineau while in Otttawa for the 2009 OUA swimming champs. Pours a very deep hazy bright yellow gold with a medium white head, and lots of yeast floaties. Aroma is quite nice, loads of RJ yeast character which I like, wheaty malty sweetness with some typical Belgian strong esters, and an odd slightly sour aspect hiding in the background. As it warms an odd donut powder sugar aspect becomes more and more apparent. Looks and smells pretty good. Flavour is much more interesting than I was expecting. Very rich and full from the yeast, very sweet and fruity, quite malty but indistinctly. Same odd sour touch, very faint but defintiely there. Very drinkable for the 8% abv. Citrusy zing in the finish, and some alcohol but nothing at all cloying. Kind of a creamy sweetness riding on top of some dull dry yeastyness but not enough to balance it. Nonethless still quite good, I’m very glad I managed to pick up this and the mixed sixer.

aged bottle...how long? pours a clear golden color with a very thin white head...poor retention. aroma has a mild sourness with citrus and a hint of leather.flavor displays the citrus and leather with a touch of spicy hops and pepper. nice creamy mouthfeel with a mild co2 pop on the tongue. finish reminds me a bit of a saison. nice blonde.

Very hazy golden coloured body with a ton of bubbles and a thin white head. Aroma of strong wheat and yeast with a little lemon scent too. Full-bodied; Strong spicey flavour with a good wheat taste. Aftertaste very strong and leaves the palate nice. Overall, a good beer - definitely worth trying if you can find it. I brought this one back from Montreal on a recent trip up there...hopefully it can be found in other places too though. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased in a small convienience shop in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on 25-March-2006.

Fruiter. Bonne. Clove and corriander dominates, with some fruity character. Good.
