Fruiter. Bonne. Clove and corriander dominates, with some fruity character. Good.

341 ml bottle from HogtownHarry; Nose of yeast, corriander, cloves, and a vanilla hint; hazy yellow with a small white head; flavor has lemon, apple, starwberry, and spices. finish has some strawberry and pepperiness with no apparent alcohol. Pretty good BSA!

Bought this in Montreal a year ago. I can’t imagine one year would be too long for an 8% Belgian, but perhaps it is. When I opened the bottle a fantastic aroma of absolutely fresh dough wafted out, one of my favorite beer scents. It was all downhill from there though. Closer sniffs were a bit vegetal and muddy... then I tasted it. Yuck! Undrinkably bad. Overly fizzy with a disgusting finish. I don’t even know what to say. I can’t take another sip to describe it any more. In all honesty though it doesn’t seem like anything has gone wrong with this beer, I think it just really sucks.

WOW!! I knew nothing about this beer until it arrived from Markus in a trade, MUCHO THX!... Now what the heck am I opening??

The beer pours a hazy golden hue with a falling fizzy head but left some lace upon my NB worthy glass. The aroma has notes of coriander, cardamom, orange zest, banana, grassy and herbal hops, and biscuity malts....hum a Double Wit maybe?

The taste follow suit spot on, spicy acidic, fruity, bready and wheaty...this is a a Witbier or at least a spiced Saison right? There is some diacetyl notes BUT it is minor and is overcome by the twang and spice. The mouth feel is lively and sprite, refreshing. WTF 8%??? No way Jose I tell ya. Interesting am I sort of digging this, gosh you gotta love a surprise from left field. Methinks I need to find the other RJ dAchouffe brew.
