Pours a cloudy light yellow with moderate head with a few floaties. Aroma is very lemony. And the taste follows on the lemon trail. In fact, a bit too much so. There is a bit of spice up front, but not all that much. It is still enjoyable. For me, it feels like a BBQ beer or a good choice on a hot day - and there aren’t many 8% alcohol beers that fit that description! The 8% alcohol is not very evident. It can be a very good bargain. I picked up a "bonus" 8-pack for C$10.

[bottle] Fruity, lightly spicy aroma. Pours a hazy golden color, and without the usual, massive Chouffe head-- I’m a little disappointed. Flavors are more on the sweet side of things-- floral, spicy hops and sweet fruits like pear and apple. Mildly spicy flavors towards the finish. Syrupy mouthfeel; minimal carbonation. Pretty good, overall.

341 mL bottle. Translucent yellow-gold. Strong aroma of fruit (peaches, apples and oranges), spice (?), roses, and maybe peppermint. Interesting for sure. Decent head. Tastes how it smells, with the addition of alcohol and sweetness. More of a floral (rose) accent in the taste. Quite full. Different. Tastes like turkish delight. Or something.

22oz bottle acquired in trade with Secret Santa in ’05. Poured a medium golden color with a small sized whte head. Aromas of spices, yeast, and fruity (pears and apples). Tastes of the same. Body a tad on the thin side.

Thanks to hopdog for sharing this one. Pours a lightly hazy golden with lots of small floaties and a small bubbly white head. Aroma of spicy yeast, citrus, Chouffe yeast, malty sweetness. Flavor was very sweet and malty, still had the Belgian spices adn yeast in there, some of the pepper, but more sweet La Chouffe. Slight hints of hop bitterness.

Pour a hazy orange colour with a small white head that vanishes quickly. Aroma of spice is well pronounced. Interesting beer.

Drank in a trappist glass. Light orange poor with a thin white head. Aromas are spicy and very floral. Lilacs, coriander, ginger, rose bushes, a hint of pine... Flavors are EXACTLY what you smell... Again very floral with a specific spice i cannot for the love of god put my hand on... I’d have to say that i smell and taste a hint of indonesian pepper... overall very attractive beer with just the right amount of everything, well balanced beer!
