This is a beer that I would not be able to drink much of. Thanks to Piscator for sharing, and thanks to Turg (whoever you are). piscator34 (1134), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 22, 2005 Blonde in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas of mild coriander, pear, yeast, and black pepper. Fairly sweet and heavy bodied. I think there’s a fair bit of wheat malt in there. Orange peel, and other savory spices become apparent in the mouth as well. A bit of an odd vegital note as well. A fairly good and spicy Belgian strong, but not in the same class as the classic La Chouffe. Thanks Turg. rsans (125), Pont-Rouge, Quebec, Canada

The aroma is spicy apples, citrus and or grapefruits. Possibly coriander also. Mouth is crisp and dry with a lingering spiciness and possibly spicy clove. I found the flavor of this beer to be is excellent. Miguel (1181), Saint-Ours, Quebec, Canada

A few months ago I drank so much of it that I forgot how it tastes. So I drank it last week again and now I remember why it’s such a great beer. The taste and the aroma make it special destroye7 (304), Melbourne, Australia

Compared to the brown RJ dAchouffe, this one as more flavors. It is more complex to describe. csbosox (1082), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 17, 2005 660ml bottle. Aged for 6+ mo in the cellar. Served at 55°/~13° in my NB worthy glass. The captain and I were watching aqua teen hunger force, now it is FLC time. The beer pours hazy gold with a small, hazy head. The aroma is peach, honey, orange peel. Smells tasty. Tha initial tasty is huge, peach, orange, and honey followed by a touch of alcohol and yeast, The beer ends a bit sour, but primarily sweet. The aftertaste is citric and melony and long lasting. Not cloying, but far from balanced, but nice nevertheless. jimmack (1221), Nutley, New Jersey, USA
