Commercial Description:
A finely-bubbled beer made from wheat and barley. Like the traditional Belgian "White" it is refreshing, light and slightly fruity. Bottle refermentation imparts a yeast enriched flavor.

Not to be confused with the separate Blanche made by the brewpub Cheval Blanc.

New bottles do not feature "de blé" anymore, but simply La Blanche and Cheval Blanc.

Pale yellow w/ slight haze. Fizzy white head w/ large bead. Some yeastiness & spiciness on the nose. Slightly grainy, moderately soft feel. Yeasty, mineral water flavour. Mildly peppery finish. Relatively bland.

Hazy pale yellow colour with a frothy white head. Banana and bubblegum aroma, with the bubblegum interfering a bit too much with the banana and clove flavours. Light and refreshing.

Tasted in Ottawa. Obtained from a typical corner shop in Hull. 341 ml bottle. Nice white horse.... Pours really thin - cloudy yellow colour, little or no head. Arona is of wheat, lemon / citrus and yeast. Taste is rather thin - Slight citrusy taste, with a stale malt finish.

New label design. White beer with a pleasant banana clove aroma. Very light taste of bananas and malts....lemon cut in through the end. Pleasant and refreshing, which is what a blanche should be..

Pours a cloudy blonde color with a thin head. Strong carbonation, almost fizzy. Subtle aroma of wheat and lemon. Subtle flavors of wheat, citrus and maybe yeast. An average beer, pleasant on a hot summer day but not much.

Bottle pours a very pale yellow, quickly diminishing spritzy white head, slick lacing, with lively carbonation.   Light citrus notes on the nose, some yeast, and a bit of curacao.   Flavor is forwardly curacao, slightly yeasty, and again kinda citrusy.   Mouthfeel seems rather wheaty, not too thick, not too light.   Finishes slightly earthy/musty.   Not bad, but could stand to be a bit more flavorful.   Thanks goes out to Rastacouere for the trade!

Light gold and hazy. Good amount of sediment. Thin white lacey head. Yeasty sour banana aroma. Sweet. Caramel and pepper. Orange, fennel and coriander. Sweet finish. It was pretty good. I just hope I'm rating the correct beer. RJ should consider making less.
