Commercial Description:
A finely-bubbled beer made from wheat and barley. Like the traditional Belgian "White" it is refreshing, light and slightly fruity. Bottle refermentation imparts a yeast enriched flavor.

Not to be confused with the separate Blanche made by the brewpub Cheval Blanc.

New bottles do not feature "de blé" anymore, but simply La Blanche and Cheval Blanc.

Pale straw body with a thin white head. Hazyier than the average. Nice spicy and yeasty nose. Flavor dominated by spices (clove) and citrus. Respectable bitter but short final. This is no match to those from the "major leagues" but it is quite fair. A good average Witbier. I recommand it on tap.

Hazy yellow, fizzy white head. The yeasty aroma is a little bready, some spices. The flavour is well spiced, a little weak though. Decent. Bottle.

Clear yellow with light head. Wheat in the aroma, with a touch of smoke or spice. Sweetish falvour with small notes of citrus. Decent for the style, but not a spectacular beer. Bit thin bodied.

Wheaty aroma with a touch of smoke. Slightly cloudy yellow-straw colour. Thin fast receding head. Mildly lemon citrus to start followed by a lightly toasted malt flavour and with a slight tartness in the finish. Good flavours here if perhaps a bit subtle. Very dry and crisp but somewhat fizzy. This is a very good beer that if punched up a notch could be great. As is, it’s worth a taste but not likely to be a regular choice. Bottle.

Blond slightly cloudy with a small head. Weak smoked bread citrus aroma. Sweet thick taste. Maybe a bit flat towards the end.

Typical witbier appearance: Hazy golden pale yellow with a cute white head. Wheat is omnipresent in nose. Wheat, yeast and coriander are ok balanced in mouth. It doesnt redefine the style though, it just interprets it well. Definitly better and more refreshing on tap

Usual yeast Cheval Blanc flavor which is a good thing. A bit of lemon in this nice white colored brew. Very refreshing, not too bad for a style (Belgian White) that seems to go out of favour with brewer...

A touch citrusy and a bit dry and crisp. Very nice, although it was fizzier than I might have liked.
