Commercial Description:
A finely-bubbled beer made from wheat and barley. Like the traditional Belgian "White" it is refreshing, light and slightly fruity. Bottle refermentation imparts a yeast enriched flavor.

Not to be confused with the separate Blanche made by the brewpub Cheval Blanc.

New bottles do not feature "de blé" anymore, but simply La Blanche and Cheval Blanc.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with beanmedic (thanks!). Poured a lighter and hazy yellow color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of corriander, lemons and yeast. Tastes of lemons, lighter spices, bananas, and wheat. Thinner but somewhat lively body that leaves on a crisp note.

Typical witbier appearance: Hazy golden pale yellow with a cute white head. Wheat is omnipresent in nose. Wheat, yeast and coriander are ok balanced in mouth. It doesnt redefine the style though, it just interprets it well. Definitly better and more refreshing on tap

Surface flavors of caramel and coriander…Faint citrus and battered wheat…Like we say in French: Bof! (not very interesting)…

Cloudy pale yellow beer with a thin creamy white head. Citrusy, coriander aroma, a touch of bubble gum and spicy yeastiness. There is a bit of wheaty aroma as well. Nice creamy mouthfeel, citrus and coriander are prominent with a wheaty finish. Refreshing beer.

Draught pint at an unknown Café on Rue Ontario in Montréal
Hazy clouds with stark white cumulonimbus head, strikingly beautiful. The nose if rich in sugar, white grapes, rich decocted malts and a hallertaur crispy note. The flavor is plenty balanced with tangy yeast notes and their creamy rich partners in crime. Finishes earthy, a little starchy but I found this to be very tasty.

New label design. White beer with a pleasant banana clove aroma. Very light taste of bananas and malts....lemon cut in through the end. Pleasant and refreshing, which is what a blanche should be..
