Bottle shared with blankboy, HogTown Harry & tupalev - courtesy of blankboy. Dark copper-amber with a small head. Aroma is malty and a bit soapy, with some ciderish notes in the background. Flavour of mild caramel, bruised apples, and slightly sour woody malt. I agree with the others that this seemed stale, but I’m not sure how much better a fresh bottle would be.

Stale semi sweet malt taste - How is this a Scottish Ale? Same grainy "Quebec micro" yeast taste. Drinkable, but I was looking for a good Scottish Ale and I got another below par Canadian micro.

Bottle (750ml). Shared with blankboy, GregClow and tupalev - courtesy of blankboy. Poured clear slightly bubbly copper with a small off-white head. Aroma of green apples, sour cider, unsweetened vanilla extract, almost faintly of hard candy. Taste is quite mild, a mash-up of oxidized apple and a generic belgian wit. Mouthfeel fairly thin and syrupy. This one’s perhaps a bit stale - consensus was it was a bit soapy - but not not all that bad, fresher would rate higher.

Aroma has malty, toffee notes, clear ruby, pours a large, but short lived head. Flavour has a malty, butterscotch essence. Sweet, medium bodied, almost crunchy, like maple syrup. Fair.

Bottled. Strong sweet apple aroma. Red copper color, small yellow/beige head that disappears almost completely. Light sweet, light bitter, strong apple and some dried fruits. Little sticky. Bit boring actually. Like a mix of a strong european lager and a belgian ale.

Bouteille-Une brune de type scotch-ale au goût de caramel malgré la trop grande présence de l’eau, senteur florale et sucrée, mince mousse et levures marquées.-Bottle- A brownish sctoch-ale with caramilzed taste with too much water in it. Sweet smell and flowery aroma, thin head and a strong marked yeast.

Robe rouge avec des reflets orangés. Mousse grossière en dentelle, mais affaissante. Arômes de levure avec des notes acides. Saveurs disgracieuses de métal. Ronde, mais sans teneur. L’évier va boire une bonne rasade... BBD : 082005.
