Typical too sweet scotch ale, but under 30 of percentile, it's rather underated. It's a little original for the style with the obvious yeasty and wheat flavors, but overall, it's a light and malty caramelic beer that goes down easy with notes of apples and berries

(Bottle) Pours a quick dissipating head and a copper body. Nose of caramel and hops. Taste of roasted malt, smoke, caramel and thin. Finishes somewhat bitter. As mentioned, this is a seemingly hybrid beer with some Belgian undertones - doen't quite achieve it.

An interesting concoction to asy the least - slightly burnt overtones with a mild malty flavor. Light hop bitterness at finish. Just didn’t do it for me...

I know they say it is a scotch ale but the use of the same yeast they use in the belgians is quite evident. Tasted more like a too heavy bodied belgian to me.

A weak scotch ale.
