It's a little original for the style with the obvious yeasty and wheat flavors, but overall, it's a light and malty caramelic beer that goes down easy with notes of apples and berries Bov (5508), Bienne, Switzerland

The nose is fairly fruity with a bit more spiciness than I would expect from a Scotch Ale. A bit of clove and allspice on the nose with a touch of sweet fruity maltiness. Lots of heavy spice and toasted malts. Quite Belgian in it’s presentation. jbrus (4895), Delft, Netherlands
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 10, 2005 Bottled. Strong sweet apple aroma. Red copper color, small yellow/beige head that disappears almost completely. Light sweet, light bitter, strong apple and some dried fruits. Little sticky. Bit boring actually. Like a mix of a strong european lager and a belgian ale. Lubiere (4552), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

In mouth, like a sweet lager, with light fruity notes. More like a Vienna in mouth. Overcarbonated, unbalanced and way off style. Tasted 28/01/05 at Institut Scotch Ale tasting.
