Typical too sweet scotch ale, but under 30 of percentile, it's rather underated. It's a little original for the style with the obvious yeasty and wheat flavors, but overall, it's a light and malty caramelic beer that goes down easy with notes of apples and berries

Deep amber pour. A bit of light ruby highlights coming through as well. The nose is fairly fruity with a bit more spiciness than I would expect from a Scotch Ale. A bit of clove and allspice on the nose with a touch of sweet fruity maltiness. Lots of heavy spice and toasted malts. Quite Belgian in it’s presentation.

Bottled. Strong sweet apple aroma. Red copper color, small yellow/beige head that disappears almost completely. Light sweet, light bitter, strong apple and some dried fruits. Little sticky. Bit boring actually. Like a mix of a strong european lager and a belgian ale.

Ambr orange ale with a light off white head. Wet straw aroma with cranberries. In mouth, like a sweet lager, with light fruity notes. More like a Vienna in mouth. Overcarbonated, unbalanced and way off style. Tasted 28/01/05 at Institut Scotch Ale tasting.
