Bouteille, 660 ml, meilleure avant 05/02, dégustation de Vieux stock IV avec Dum, Ian et Steve chez Lubière, savouré le 13 octobre 2006; oeil : rosée, voilée, matière en suspension, pas de mousse; nez : carton, cerise éventée, léger malt; bouche : cerise délayée, eau, finale en cerise délavée avec un petit côté cartonnée, mince, pas de carbonatation, légèrement sucrée Lubiere (4463), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Oct 15, 2006 Ruby pink beer with no head, but still carbonated. Light notes of cherry and light maderization. In mouth, a thi malt with ghosts of cherry, not horrible, but way past its prime (which wasnt much to start with). Oxidation becomes appearent has beer warms up. Dégustation de Vieux Stock III, Oct. 13, 2006. Thanks GRM. Boutip (2333), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Jun 7, 2004 Bottle: Poured a ruby colored beer with a nice head that disappeared way too quickly. Aroma is quite neutral with only some malt being detectable. Taste is mostly malt with some acidity and, this was very disappointing, some chemical aftertaste that made me poured the remaining beer from the bottle in the sink. This has no cherry taste whatsoever. I’m very disappointed since the last couple of beers I had from this brewery where quite promising in terms of improvements. tiggmtl (4307), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Apr 14, 2004 Cinnamon, cherry aroma - smells like Big Red bubblegum. Strawberry blonde with very little head and slight haze. Mild cherry flavour with a hint of cinnamon flavour on an otherwise uninspired beer. Mildly sour finish. A fair bit of diacetyl gives this one a rather oily mouthfeel. Bottle. CapFlu (3480), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Apr 22, 2003 (660ml Bottle) Very little head and a raspberry gingerale coloured body. Lively carbonation. Great sour cherry notes that doesn't follow through into the taste. Nice, lasting, mild sourness. MartinT (5026), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jul 5, 2002 Some hop bitterness with the added cherries…But light and uninteresting… Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Dec 21, 2000 Cherry ale with a light, refreshing fruitiness. A pleasant summer refresher.
