Re-rate: Murky brown appearance. Heavy maple syrup aroma to the point where all else is hard to find. Big maple flavour, fairly sweet. Different, interesting, but a little lacking in the beer component.

Tan-coloured strong ale made with maple syrup and smoked malt. These flavours are a little more subtle than I would hope for, though the maple does show in the sappy finish. Overall, this is a yeasty, malty ale. Ar 6 Ap 2 F 6 P 3 O 12

Caramel and malty aroma. As others pointed out, oranges flavor is added to the mix in mouth. Smoked malt gives a nice texture. Warming

Very thin maple syrup and hovering smoke…Oranges and yeast drowning in tiny bubbles…

Thanks to Boutip for this taste of la belle provence. Hazy amber colour with a 1" thick, fairly persistant head. Very malty smelling, with a sweet caramel malt, vanilla, maple syrup, and whiskey prominently displayed. Smells like a dram of single malt scotch. Flavour is also sweet and slightly smokey. Some yeasty flavour and a bit of earthiness also sneak into this as it warms a bit. Finish shows the tiniest hint of floral hops before trailing off into sweet whiskey and maple. Decent body. Could have been cloying but wasn't. A very interesting and respectable beer that’s worth trying.

Light hazy gold with a sweet maple cream aroma. Taste like a blanche where you dunked maple cookies. Medium bodied. Interesting and very Québécois.

500 ml bottle. Hazy, pretty nearly opaque dark amber-maple with lots of small bubble action and a lasting small creamy top...maple, vanilla, and light doughy yeast in the aroma...body moderately sweet, lightly smoky, with touches of that maple syrupiness towards the finish, rather thin...late wateriness not helped by strong carbonation, too much of a maple-seltzer sort of consistency.

Burnt caramel, orange and sweet maple-smoked ham aroma. Pillowy off-white head on opaque hazy-tawny body. Smoke malt up front with a touch of orange and maple sweetness that lingers. Like a sugar-shack in a bottle. Bienvenue au Quebec! Bottle.

I think I was too polite to even try a maple syrup beverage, who knows what the heck. Aroma of sour and sweet apples. Very foamy soapy head on orange cloudy colour. Smokiness, apparently from smoked malt, and also burnt piece, like burnt toast or roast. Watery mouthfeel. Grows on you.Derek sharing.
