Maple Sirup is my favorite part of this beer. I like Maple Sirup. Contrary to an other beer that I tasted in Mondial de la Bière de Montréal (beer that I don’t remember the name), Tord-Vis is good from the first taste to the last. Arôme: Forte odeur d’érable. (Sûrement dû au 2 ans de vieillissement). Apparence: Couleur blonde foncée voilée. Aucun col. Aromas of bread, wood, nutmeg, allspice, pepper. Thin palate, honey dry finish. Light flavors of maple sirup. You can feel the alcohol to the palate as well with a hint of orange peelings. You can definitly taste what you smell. Rastacouere (5553), Montréal, Quebec, Canada

As others pointed out, oranges flavor is added to the mix in mouth. Smoked malt gives a nice texture. Warming JoeMcPhee (5000), Jackson Heights, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 26, 2004 Thanks to Boutip for this taste of la belle provence. Hazy amber colour with a 1" thick, fairly persistant head. Very malty smelling, with a sweet caramel malt, vanilla, maple syrup, and whiskey prominently displayed. Smells like a dram of single malt scotch. Flavour is also sweet and slightly smokey. Some yeasty flavour and a bit of earthiness also sneak into this as it warms a bit. Finish shows the tiniest hint of floral hops before trailing off into sweet whiskey and maple. Decent body. Could have been cloying but wasn't. A very interesting and respectable beer that’s worth trying. piscator34 (1129), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 15, 2005 Hazy orange in colour with only a small amount of carbonation. The aromas start off as somewhat yeasty, but then quickly evolves into a combination of maple and vanilla. Fairly malty flavor with some subtle sweet maple and nut flavors on the finish. Unique. Good mix of malt, hops, spices and celeri salt (!!!) flavor. Long and moderately bitter final. Hard to compare to any other product.
