Commercial Description:
A traditional English-style brown ale, but with more body. Its deep brown color comes from a combination of Chocolate and Black malts. Tall, dark and smooth – the perfect cure for the domestic beer blahs. 5.6% abv

Bottle. Pours brown, clear, with small white head. Aroma is nutty, chocolate, some coffee. Flavor is mixed malts, with chocolate, roasted malt, some caramel, mildly sweet. A bit thin in flavor, but I think this beer is clearly underrated.

Appears a semi-transparent amber toned dark brown with a small, off-white head that quickly fades away. Smell is of sweet brown sugar, toasted nuts, vanilla, and cream. Taste is of the mentioned aromas with a sweet, roasted nut, and sugary caramel malt flavor standing out. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, nutty, caramel, smooth...perhaps a bit under-attenuated, as residual sweetness seems to be bordering on cloyingly sweet.

The aroma had a fruity chocolate and light bit of a roasty component. It was bready and bicuity with an earthy nature and some moderate caramel presence. The beer arrived lightly hazy brown, like dark tea, with a beige low lasting head which laced the glass. The flavor was fruity and contained a strong citrusy hop flavor and some caramel. The citrus was orange and the bittering was medium. The flavor was toasty and lightly bready with a mineral component. The body was medium with moderate carboantion and a bit of a creamy nature. An ok brown ale. Pint at 299 in Spartanburg.

Thanks to weeare138. Pours a translucent brownish amber with a smaller bubbly off white head. Aroma of sweet malts, molasses, some nuts...and just too sweet. Flavor of nuts, some toasted malt...still a bit too sweet and malty with a touch of caramel.

pours brown with a film of head, not much lacing. Malty with hints of sugar. A little bland

Bottle. Sour milk and brown sugar aroma. Cloudy orange-brown with small head. Very light brown sugar malt flavor with a hint of bitterness to finish - a bit like watered down tonic water. Way too weak.
