Pours a clear bright copper orange with a thin, spotty-lacing white head. Aroma of grapefruit and orange with some sticky caramel sugar. Body starts with good fullness and sweet caramel honey character balanced with a heavy citrus bittering hoppiness before a drier, slightly warming finish. Could be a little cleaner and better balanced, but still a decent brew.

Bottle… Murky, caramel-colored ale with a small, wispy, off-white head. Fruity, caramely aroma. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and modest carbonation. Good balance. Reserved caramel sweetness; moderate grapefruit pith bitterness. Lengthy, crisp, lightly bitter finish. Thanks go out to growler for shipping this bottle!

Clear copper colored body. Nose is crusty bran and caramel malt, some dusty orange scented hops and light to medium fusel notes. Medium to heavy body - syrupy. Bread crust, toasted munich and caramel malt, some light oxidation, and some candied/syrupy but burnt artificial citrus fruit. Not as bad as expected.
