I find this beer to be very bold for what it is. The malts hit you hard while the hops are not as strong but very persistent.

Courtesy of Nick76. The aroma is very lemony, almost like Pledge with lighter citrus notes beneath and just a faint suggestion of crystal malt, but no caramel. The body is a sort of amber/orange/yellow and holds a firm and lasting, thumb thick white head. Cedar and lemon with hints of tree bark and caramel malt. Odd little beer. Not bad, but definitely on the unusual side.

on tap @HopfestNC-pours a thin white head and slightly hazy yellow/gold color. Aroma is citrus hops-lemon. Taste is citrus hops-lemon with some bitterness. OK carbonation.

Bottle. Peach malt and light hops aroma. Orange-tan color with small head. Slightly sweet orange/grapefruit fading into a fairly strong pine/grapefruit hops finish. Light carbonation - on the hoppier side for APAs. Nice, pleasant APA.

Thanks to tronraner for sharing this bottle with us at the Tennessee Spring(ish) Tasting! Poured a hazy pale with a white head. A decent blend of citrus and malts in the aroma. The flavor follows much of the same. Light body and nothing super special to write home about.

I never did figure out who brought a bottle of this beer to the Tennessee Spring(ish) Tasting in Knoxville, TN on 3/10/2007, but I appreciate it! Thanks for sharing... R.J. Rockers Patriot Pale is a transparent pale golden yelllow color with a transient foamy white head. There were traces of lightly caramelized malt, apple, and orange/citrus in the aroma and flavor. I thought that everything about this beer was a bit weak overall. Light body, average carbonation. This is a decent pale ale but it could probably be really good if it were a bit more defined and bolder in character.

Bottle. Pours light orange with tight white head. The aroma is very bready with some citrus. The flavor is cookies, lemon, graham crackers. Ok, but not very well defined.
