Smooth and peppery with a slightly sweet yeast finish. Diogène (543), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Jul 11, 2009 Bottle RJ. no. 926. Aroma is sweet malt, some spices, fruits and yeast. Hazy amber with a thin foamy head. Average retention and lacing. Flavor is sweet malt, apples, citrus and yeast. Medium body. JoeMcPhee (4893), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Jul 4, 2009 Golden beer, no head. The aroma is nicely spicy. A bit of apricot and some light spiciness. There is a touch of clove and fruit. Light body, low bitterness. A pretty balanced brew. mgermani (862), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Mar 3, 2009 Pours a cloudy orange with no head and a faintly sweet aroma with a touch of sweaty funk. Tastes like orange Cream Soda, some coriander, fairly typical wit on the sweet side. Not terrible. Body is thin, good carb, no creaminess. Lingering orange sweetness. Drinkable, but no head and thin body really detract. Thanks to Robin for the trade! robinvboyer (1419), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Jan 26, 2009 bottled at No.926. A hazy unfiltered amber ale. Slight hops, a touch of grainy malt and some odd citrus notes. Like orange juice that has been left out. Flavor is much of the same, dull hops, and dull malt with that stale orange juice finish. Faint yeasty aroma. Flavor is mild malt, yeast, some fruitiness in the finish.
