RaphaelN (195), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Aug 1, 2009 Bottle my friend brought back from Quebec. Not much to write. It’s your average macro, but with a sweeter flavour which makes it more interesting to sip on than say, Alexander Keith’s sorry excuse for a beer. One of the few poorly made lagers that I wouldn’t mind drinking. RichardGretton (3131), Leicestershire, England Aug 1, 2009 Tap@Resto-Bistro Saint-James, Quebec City. Golden beer with a light head. The aroma is sour and chemically, and the flavour is fruity, sour and yeasty (tastes slightly weird).
I m not a blond lager lover... still, its better than any bud, molson, coors or labatt, and even cheaper than these. berkshirejohn (1767), Bracknell, Berkshire, England Jul 19, 2008 431ml bottle bought in Montreal. Straw coloured with a ring of white head; malty aroma; flavour is also malty and slightly sweet with oak and vanilla notes; there’s a short burst of bitterness floowed by a sweet and sticky finish. A nice blonde style beer. Nuffield (2718), Roseville, Minnesota, USA Jun 4, 2008 I had this beer two ways: once plain and once with a blend with "Sommer: L’Amer Alsacien" (www.amersommer.com) an apertif additive for beers. You could add most anything to this beer from the world of liquors and apertifs and have it come out better than the base beer. It’s a lager, from Canada, and it supplies no argument for visiting our fair neighbor to the north. (at Mondial de la Biere, 2008, Montreal) onomatopee (34), Montréal, Quebec, Canada May 3, 2008 En bouteille. Robe blonde dorée, mince collet voire inexistant. Arômes légers de malt et de fruits. En bouche, elle est légèrement pétillante, plutôt aqueuse. Superbe pour un après-midi au soleil mais plutôt décevante pour les amateurs de bière au goût différent. MrManning (1634), London, Ontario, Canada Feb 11, 2008 Bottle-This pours golden with a diminishing white fizz. Slightly malt fruity nose at first, with honey and citric notes and a bit of grass/flowers. Flavour is lemony sweetness, floral, some grassy flavours towards the finish. Spritzy but clean finish. This is a well made all malt lager, and I’d be happy if I could get it here. All things considered, not bad for the $1.15 I paid for it. DuffMan (2719), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada Dec 26, 2006 Initially aromas of soft fruit (even faintly bananas) are found after the pour, but the overall profile is that of a standard macro pale-lager. Not bad, a solid average.
