| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 19, 2006 341 ml bottle from Metro Joanette in Verdun, QC (December 2006) consumed a bit above fridge temperature from a Christoffel glass. Somewhat fizzy clear pale gold body with moderate-large quick-dying white head....grainy nose with faint hints of DMS, corn, honey, a touch of grass on the second nosing.....clean, smooth and quite bland with just a touch of pale malt sweetness, very little if any hop profile until the extreme finish which does offer the lightest whisper of grassy-floral bitterness and acidity....moderate to high, fairly natural-seeming carbonation though the near-absence of malts near the finish accents the fizz and makes this feel rather soda-like. All in all it’s not at all bad for what it is, but I can’t really say I like it or that I would be all that excited to find this instead of a Molson product at a show or sporting event. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 10, 2006 2006 bottle consumed on 8/27/06. Very frothy, foamy head, white in color, is retained fairly well atop a light golden colored body with a high clarity and light effervescence. Minimal/no lacing. Lightly honeyish nose shows well-extracted pale malts, but dosent overwhelm with sweetness, nor is there any cheap corn-like sugariness. Very light hops are soft, floral and very clean, somewhat adding dryness, but the crisp, clean yeast and spring water finish is what really helps cap things off pleasantly. A light touch of straw-like maltiness and a touch of vanilla-cream sugar. Very cleanly brewed. Aroma strength is medium, somewhat cut by a fair amount of wateriness (as in the malts are fairly lean). But the flavor comes together, being neither too thin/watery or bland/undermalted and yet not smacking of corn/rice/etc...Certainly dosent seem like cheap grains to me. Rather, I’m pretty impressed by the well-extracted honeyish malts that provide substance while drinking and really highlights, in contrast, the crisp, lager-yeast finish with soft, minimal, but somewhat flavorful grassy/floral hops. Carbonation is moderate, providing sufficient drinkability, while the texture has some wateriness, but nothing out-of-place for the style. No sign of alcohol, didnt detect any major brewing flaws. blankboy (3261), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Pours a clear pale yellow with a small diminishing white head. Sweet, sugary and grainy aroma -- not very pleasant. Flavour is of your average Pale Lager, no surprises here -- a little too sweet though. Light bodied. I’ve had worse but I expected better from this brewery: B-O-R-I-N-G. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Light yellow, small white head. Watery skunky aroma - yikes, sugary too - bordering on macro here...Taste - better thankfully - just a clean crisp pale lager with some sugar and grain. But this is mainstream macro stuff here, yeck... HogTownHarry (4026), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada

Pale clear yellow, not much head, pee-like. Cheap grain, sugar and sweat aroma. Boring taste - grain, sugar, something harsh in there that doesn’t belong, small bitter aftertaste, slightly sour. Weak body, fizzy ... not much going on at all.
