rader58 (42), Leawood, Kansas, USA Jul 19, 2008 Pours to a clear dark brown with a full brown head. strong malt with hints of toffee and a heavy taste of soap. heemer77 (3786), Savannah, Missouri, USA Mar 31, 2008 A light beige head tops a black body. The aroma is light roasted coffee with some smoked, honey glazed ham. The taste is bitter, cheap coffee with some woody straw. The finish is like coffee that has been left on the pot all day and boiled down to a gooey tar. The body is highly carbonated. Even with low expectations, this is a let down. bitbucket (1572), Kirkland, Washington, USA Mar 12, 2008 Bottle. Just had a bit of this one on my way out the door. Pours dark brown with a light tan head. Light body and carbonation. Smoke, coffee and pine in the nose and taste. Not so great a brew but you gotta love the label. after4ever (1753), Brier, Washington, USA Mar 10, 2008 12-oz. Dark brown with caramel highlights. Biggish coffee nose. Watery body, light carb. Overdomination of coffee. Astringent finish. tjthresh (1322), Greenfield, Indiana, USA Feb 14, 2008 12 ounce bottle. 10th rating. Pours dark brown with a fizzy but lasting brown head. Some lace. I’m getting a bit nose full of earthy hops, to go along with sort of a used coffee ground malt character. Wow. This tastes like shit. I’m not sure how to describe it, but really, this is bad. It makes me think of dirty soapy water. Just avoid this beer.
