Why’s this a separate rate - it’s just a mixture of ordinary Old Tom with some ginger beer?
330ml bottle (Utobeer)
Deep red, small tight beige head. Glorious ginger-ale aroma, big sucker for that. Lovely grisp gingery taste, with loads of rich roasty malts to back it up, very well balanced. Finish has some sweet caramelised ginger. Nice alcopop!

Bottled. A mid brown coloured headless beer. Strong ginger in the nose with an initial fiery hit of ginger in the mouth. The heat does mellow into a reasonably smooth tasty beer. After an initial threat of being overpowered by the ginger the base beer does come through. Certainly drinkable.

Dark amber color. Citrusy soap aroma, dish washing product. Sweetish caramel flavor, with some citrus (and soap) presence; at least in the final there is a pleasant ginger tickling feeling on the back of the throat. The aroma is disappointing, the flavor is bearable, better than most ginger beers.

Bottled. A dark amber beer with a huge brown head. The aroma has strong notes of ginger as well as medium notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of ginger and light notes of caramel and malt in the back ground, leading to a dry ginger finish. A bit too much ginger for my liking.

Bottle at Nya Tröls, Malmö. Clear orange red coloured with a medium sized off white head. Fruity aroma of ginger, citrus and soap. Sweet flavour of caramel, liquorice and ginger with notes of citrus and soap. Spicy finish.

It’s a dark brown beer with a red hue and a huge, creamy head. The aroma has a little malt and a lot if ginger. The mouthfeel is oily and the flavor has notes of ginger, roasted malt, caramel and citrus – but the ginger is very dominating, and you need to really like ginger to fully appreciate this beer.

Bottle. Dark red, brown with a small foam. Aromas are lots of ginger spices with chocolate. Flavours are chocolate malts with lots of warming, spicy ginger. Very smooth on the palate. The ginger overpowers the Old Tom base too much but still decent.

From bottle@Cardinal, Stavanger. Big-bubbled yellowish head. Clear, reddish-brown body. Predominant, sweet ginger aroma. A sweet malt body totally dominated by a genrous amount of strong, warming ginger. Thick and sticky in the mouth. Dries up a bit towards the finish. Ginger-o-rama.
