Mes_and_Sim (4176), London, Greater London, England Apr 29, 2007 A Mes rate:
Cask at The Volunteer. A fairly tedious offering from Robinsons, as most of theirs are if I am honest. Mainly malts and just very mellow all round. A tad on the watery side. Boo. hughie (2150), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Oct 8, 2006 Updated: Mar 24, 2007Cask at Bedford BF ’06. Amber sessioner; not much aroma. Watery, refreshing, little bitterness. Bit dull, really. 24.3.07. Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Amber-gold with a small white head. No discernable aroma. Malty taste followed by a very thin, watery second half with hardly any bitterness. Rating 1,4,4,3,11: 2.3. Nekronos (1851), Xalapa, Mexico Apr 24, 2006 Nice bitter, not annoying and good foam. Pale colour, not so goldy as other bitters. Mungo (2474), Southampton, Hampshire, England Mar 15, 2006 Cask conditioned @ Humble Plumb, Soton. Doughy yeast and floral hop aromas with caramel. Very pleasant and slightly unusual fruity tea (like a cold darjeeling or ceylon) flavours. Gentle bitter finish to balance the fruity sweetness. Tasty.
