A Mes rate: Cask at The Volunteer. A fairly tedious offering from Robinsons, as most of theirs are if I am honest. Mainly malts and just very mellow all round. A tad on the watery side. Boo.

Cask at Bedford BF ’06. Amber sessioner; not much aroma. Watery, refreshing, little bitterness. Bit dull, really. 24.3.07. Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Amber-gold with a small white head. No discernable aroma. Malty taste followed by a very thin, watery second half with hardly any bitterness. Rating 1,4,4,3,11: 2.3.

Nice bitter, not annoying and good foam. Pale colour, not so goldy as other bitters.

Cask conditioned @ Humble Plumb, Soton. Doughy yeast and floral hop aromas with caramel. Very pleasant and slightly unusual fruity tea (like a cold darjeeling or ceylon) flavours. Gentle bitter finish to balance the fruity sweetness. Tasty.
