A dark beer with high alcohol content that can not be tasted. The beer is extremely balanced from aroma to the flavor through the finish! This is an excellent beer that I plan to enjoy for many years to come! Gustav1996 (24), Birmingham, Alabama, USA
| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Nov 16, 2009 33cl Bottle. Poured a deep, dark murky brown color with a thin dark beige head. Great aroma and taste - both are complex but balanced. Very smooth beer for 11.3%. - the alcohol taste is almost hidden. The carbonation is very mild. This is a great beer. I was very happy to find one of these and it was as good as I expected it to be. Sean9689 (45), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 15, 2009 Poured from a bottle into my Duvel tulip. Color is dark brown with a cream-colored head. Awesome smell of sweet fruits and molasses that beg you to drink it! Taste is great, fruity with dark chocolate and a small amount of spice with a very small hint of alcohol. I’m surprised I cannot taste more of the alcohol since it’s a 10.5%er. Mouthfeel is light-medium bodied with a good amount of carbonation. Very smooth and has a nice clean finish. I could drink this beer over and over again but then I’d probably be asleep by 6pm every night from drinking too much of it! proesti (56), Lille Nord, France

Aroma is fantastic, sweet, caramel, bread, some roasted touches, fruits and some hop. Taste is superbe ! Rich, sweet ( Spices ? ) malts ,caffee, chocolate and hops. Its is like a mix of Pannepot and Westvleteren 12. Wow what a great Trappist Bricks (32), USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 15, 2009 Aroma is somewhere between fingernail polish remover and fruit. The beer looks how a beer should look, no issues there. The flavor is smooth -- something like a light stout mixed with a citrusy ale. The mouthfeel is a little fizzy.
Overall though, its very smooth for 11.3%, but too pricey to be a regular. kmyers8807 (30), Ohio, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Nov 13, 2009 Bottle poured into glass. Very dark brown with lots of tan head. Taste of spice and fruit. Alcohol blends in with other flavors. I wouldnt guess it to be 11.3% though. Mine was fresh, with a date of 29/04/14, so just a little over 6 months. I cant wait to pull one out with a few years on it! Gmoney (255), ManchVegas, New Hampshire, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Nov 10, 2009 33cl bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. Muddy, treacle coloured with a dense beige head; complex aroma, port wine, blackcurrants, plums, richly roasted malts; at first, soft and syrupy in the mouth, heavily laced with rich fruity malts, but then suddenly sharp and penetrating; the finish is soft and fruity again, releasing alcohol pleasantly to warm the mouth, rather like a good sherry. An accomplished sipping beer.
