Bottle courtesy of BückDich. Hazy reddish pour. Smells of heavy fruit. Dark fruits with heavy wine and alcohol. Powdery perfumey smell. Definite fruit on the taste. Plum that eases away slowly. Tastes chalky with hints of hot malt. Not a top beer for me at all.

Pours a cloudy chestnut w/ heavy foamy head, aroma is lightly dried fruit w/ some syrupy alcohol notes, fig & date flavor w/ carbonation tinge/warm alcohol finish, little heavy on carbonation, pleasant resilient alcohol/carbonation warmth @ back of throat

Bottled. Brown in colour. Nose of caramell, plums and vanilla. A bit of dill maybe? Tastes of herbs and caramell.

Another milestone. Celebrating rating no 150 with the mighty high priest of the Trappists. Pours a hazy dark brown color with a large beige head. Aroma with loads of chocolate, plum, port wine and a caramel sweetness. Flavor explodes with all of the above plus some rum and dark berries in liquor. Presenting a thick creamy texture with a really full bodied mouthfeel and warming alcohol.

Pours a cloudy dark brown color with tan head. Sweet malt aroma, lots of caramel. Taste is dark fruit, raisin and caramel, bread dough. Some nice bitterness to balance out the sweetness. Creamy palate; alcohol very well hidden. Sweetens and mellows as it warms. One of the greatest.

Dark brown color, with creamy, persistent and adherent foam. The aroma, very complex, it is intense, attractive and elegant, with notes of chocolate, fruit (plums) and malt. In mouth it departs very strong, powerful, alcoholic for then to perfectly pass to an endless of tastes all amalgamate. The body is well structured. The long end, dry, spicy and bitterish. Bottle purchased to Messancy (Belgium) to 1,60 Euro. Divine delight.

Pours dark golden red brown with complete opacity and subtle and sweet aroma. The Flavor is dominated by dark fruit flavors balanced with slight sour, bitter, and alcohol components.
