Pours a cloudy dark honey and brown with a large foamy off-white head, leaves a creamy fine bubbled lacing on the glass, a generous amount of sediment in the bottle, has a very nice presentation, aroma of malt, light raisins, bruised apples(?), yeast bread, some light chocolate notes and cake aroma? faint banana to and light candy fragrances, flavors of malt, bread, faint caramel and candy sweetness, yeast, alcohol phenols deliver pepper to the palate at the finish and persists thereafter with some pepper bitterness, has a good mouth feel, is creamy on the mouth, I felt some alcohol warmth at the back of the mouth which I found surprising for a 7.5% alcohol ale but this is not a problem and did not take away from the enjoyment of this drink, a very nice drink but this did not wow me like I hoping it would but I do recommend trying this brew.

Brown-reddish hazy appearance with a medium foamy beige head. Nice aroma of toffe, roasted malt and coffee beans, some caramel and vanilla. Smooth mouthfeel with a well balanced roasted taste of malt and coffee-beans, nice caramel and vanilla, some dried fruits.

Brown color with very quick vanishing head. Aroma have notes of yeast and fruit. When the beer enters the mouth it is an easy drinkable one with a well balanced taste of light roasted malt, prickling fruit and a thin slice of yeast. A good light beer but other Trappistes have more to offer.

Took me awhile to finally try this one considering the 10 is one of my favorites. This beer pours a murky brown/red color with a thin white head. Floraly and fruity (apples and pears) aroma and flavor. Very smooth on the palate and extremely drinkable. Clean and lingering finish. Great beer!

Light chestnut with golden highlights and a thin, off-white head. Odd, though not unpleasant Tequila-like edge (strange, yes, but it’s there in this bottle) with some nutty malt characteristics and a touch of alcohol. Interesting fermentation characteristics in the flavor that seems to impart a salty tang over a light, nutty malt profile. The body is very light, thin, and almost watery--though not negatively so--the 7.5% alcohol is hardly noticible which is quite a disappearing act. This beer is not really my thing but remains quite interesting nonetheless.

Bottle 33cl. Poured at 13 degrees Celsius. Aged 2 years. Pours a light clear brown/red colour. Beautiful head, good size and lasts. Smells gives away loads of fruits, varying from strawberrys to lemon. Very mouthfilling beer, good taste, can find all the fruits that are in the smell again. Also this beer is balanced excellent, tastes like the 8 and 10 Rochefort, but just a little less flavour to it. Though I must say that I can taste the alcohol more than in the other 2.

33cl bottle, pours apple cider brown, with dissipating off-white head. Aroma of apple, pear, flowers, caramel, and malt. Taste is fruity and malty, with minimal hops. Creamy mouthfeel. Not quite Rochefort 8 or 10, but a very good beer.

Pours fecal brown with minimal head. Smells strongly of assorted fruits and malts. Very sweet taste, well balanced with good carbonation. Delicious lingering yeast and malts. Very easy to drink, but could use more of an alcohol punch.
