Dark copper, almost cordovan, nearly opaque, with a thick pillowy head that had great retention and left very intricate lacing. Subtle aromas of figs and cherries with a touch of alcohol. Flavors were stronger, and included dark fruits, carob, and soft bread. The sensations on the palate stole the show - lively carbonation, silky smooth mouthfeel and a wonderful aftertaste.

A very good beer. Pours a cloudy brown with an off white head. Nice aroma, you can smell the yeast, fruit, and caramel. Sweet flavor from the caramel. Good balance with the spices and the fruit as well. Good stuff.

Ruddy brown, high carb head that quickly vanished. Yeasty and fruity. Zesty. Something almost creamy in it that I can’t put my finger on. Better than the last time I tasted it.

Bottled: Brown color, huge foamy head. Flavor has a malty base with intensive cacao notes like cacao beans. Caramel notes, some alcohol. Bit burning finish with dry chocolate notes. Fruity, estery aroma. Notes of rum-plums, alcohol, cacao and chocolate. Tasty brew with a fabulous aftertaste.

1.5 years old bottle. Dark murky brown, fizzy beige head. Dry and fruity nose, figs, some malts and soft spices. Flavor is more of the same, dark fruits and spices. Peppery and nicely hopped, dry finish. Medium bodied, soft palate. Fruity and interesting. I love all them Rocheforts.

A bit of hazy pour and very bubbly. Light brown with a thick head. Very fruity aroma. Lots of apples; it smells almost like cider. Lots of malt and grain with a touch of oaky vanilla. Hearty yeasty bread flavor. The intense apples in the aroma are much more subtle in the flavor. Its there, but not overpowering. Malty with a touch of hops to finish. Alcohol is hidden well. A very good dubbel!

Wonderfully sharp, caramel, malt nose upon first scent. Slightly musty initial flavor with a lingering fig finish. Slightly tart/sour notes. Overall a good

33 cl bottle. Hazy brown color, moderate white head. Aroma is sweet and fruity. Flavor is carmael malt, dried fruits. High carbonation. Nice, but not a very complex beer.
