Bottle, from Noel Cuveliers, Abele. Deep red/brown horse color, sand colored layer of bubbles that refuse to leave. Old candy store nose, green grass, a pinch of cocoa and clove. Peppery milk chocolate sweetness, a little barn wood, mineral dry finish with a little lingering molassas tartness.

330ml bottled, pours a deep muddy red-brown with a huge creamy head. Smell strawberrys and hops, alcohol, quite a lot of carbonation. Taste is fruity, sweet and sour bread. Enjoyable complex beer.

a great double...I think I like this more than the westmalle....more roasted malt flavor...at least in the smaller bottles of the westmalle for comparason....great estery notes and I must say....wow I hope to drink more of this in the future...great dark redish brown color and also tons of dried fruit flavors in the finish that works well with the roasted malt flavors

Bottle. Pours a reddish brown with a tan head. Aroma is spicy with notes of meat, sherry and dried fruit. Flavour is quite spicy with notes of meat, spices, roasted malts and fruit. Not bad - but I prefer the 10!

The chunks of formed sediment are likely from the beer being past its drinking date. Flavor 8 out of 10 Intensity: stronger Balance: well balanced Impression: Very nice. Fruity. One of the best beers I have ever had. The apperence of this beer is just amazing, dark brown with a fluffy head that leaves a thin cover all over the glass. The flavor is bready with some dark fruit and a touch of chocolate. The palate is fantastic...lacks a bit of the complexity of 8 and 10 but it hardly matters as what is here is near perfect. I could drink this forever

Hazy amber body with a large beige head. Herbal hops, light caramels and dark fruit aromas. Fairly dry with doughy bready malts, light toffee, spicy hops and plummy undertones. Medium/light body is soft. Carbonation is moderate to high and just a bit prickly. Extremely quaffable nonetheless.
