| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 23, 2008 330mL bottle pours with plentiful off-white head, excellent lacing and color. The aroma is potent and full of raspberry, not unlike lindenman’s framboise. Flavor is only a mere shadow to the aroma, offering little sweetness to savor; otherwise enjoyable. As with almost all belgians, I found it too highly carbonated out of the bottle. Of course, it is easier to fix that than too little carbonation. Overall, impressed, but not overly impressed. bitbucket (2035), Kirkland, Washington, USA

Aroma of fruit and caramel. Medium-light body and medium carbonation. Lightly sweet and nutty taste with some figs and herbal hops lingering on the margins. mgoy (343), Oak Brook, Illinois, USA

Rochefort Trappistes 6 is another wonderful trappist ale. My only complaint is that is a bit thin and watery.
This beer does a great job convering the 7.5% abv. dmtroyer (415), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 18, 2008 330ml. Pours brown with ruby highlights. Head is kind of white with brown threads and is fairly light and whispy as are many in this style. Nose is caramel and butterscotch with the slightest notion of cola. Body has all these things plus maybe some licorice somewhere in there. Mouthfeel is very pleasant with good carbonation and a lighter mouthfeel. Hides the alcohol very well. I am always tempted to chill these but this one really shines very close to room temp. after4ever (2805), Brier, Washington, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Feb 17, 2008 330. Pours a deep but crystal clear dark amber with a thick, creamy, almost gooey tan head. Minimal lace. Big buttery caramel, dark fruit, booze, and slightly hay-like nose. Quite complex. Creamy, almost buttery body. Caramel, butterscotch, dark fruit, hay- or grass-like notes, and a bit of herbal hop on the finish. Lovely stuff. douglas88 (1643), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 17, 2008 Bottle from the Front Door in Boise. Pours a light brown with a nice thick light-beige head. The aroma is mostly fruit and yeast. The taste was really quite nice; smooth fruit flavors, mostly darker fruits like plums, but also strawberries. Yeast, some soft bitterness, and some sweetness. I enjoyed this beer a lot. Goodgrief (1161), Middletown, Delaware, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 17, 2008 Feb. 2007 - Beer poured a light brown caramel, very little head of lacing. Amazing aroma of fruity grapes and figs. Flavor was a nice complex blend of dark fruits, chocolate, molasses and spices. Really carbonated mouthfeel. I little weak in the flavor compared to the 8 & 10, but I guess that’s to be expected. As it warmed, molasses really, really came out in the aroma and flavor...like too much so - molasses overload. bchlala (42), Denmark
