Dark dark brown pour with very fine bubbles and minimal beige head. Amazing flavor....except its a little thin and you kinda have to dig for it. very dry/sweet, nutty, berries, small amount of licorice. Perfect carbonation... the body is a tad thin for it though. Loads of sediment...oops. Woody finish. 8.5.8.4.18
[Rerate 3.15.09] Pours a glowing clear but too dark to see thru reddish brown with a large fizzy beige head that fades into a small dense patchy froth. Sweet aroma of ripe fruits and lots of berries, touch of alcohol, phenolic, faintly nutty and quite yeasty, I am getting a bit of apricot too. Flavor is a touch hot at first, sweet, some berries, light brown sugar, toffee, touch of banana, definite plum, ending quite nutty/yeasty. Not a powerful flavor, soft, but complex. Lovely aftertaste of decadent dark fruits/berries. Medium thin sugary body with lots of softer but larger abundant carbonation that has a quick fizzy bite. The more I drink the more I appreciate this beer, its quite quaffable.

Aroma is warm and sugary with a vinous character. Vanilla, brown sugar, and some dried fruits come through in the light pleasant flavor. This is really an enjoyable Belgian, truly a pleasure to drink. paco (204), Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada

Brougogne brumeuse, petit collet persistant. Arome de malte très caramelisé, légèrement épicé et fruité. Goût très doux et très peu impossant de malte, avec une petite touche de caramel et d’alcool. The same recipe is used for all three but the lower abv lessens the taste a bit by losing the warmth and roasted maltiness. ilovedarkbeer (1367), Dallas, Texas, USA

Smells like dates and vinegar. Mouth feel is very velvety and has a bite of a bite on the swallow. Tastes like sour vinegar fruit and dark spicy fruit. A very respectable dubble.
