Smells sweet yet sour, almost wine reminiscent. A thick full head that definately has some staying power. Awesome lacing,. Slight alcohol taste, dry finish. Mostly sweet, again almost reminds me of some sort of dry wine. Good, happy I made the purchase.

Bottled, of course. Dark, medium head. Lots of frutiness in this guy with brown sugar.

Deep brown, monster foamy light tan head. Rich buttery dark fruit aromas sit softly over notes of caramel cookie and faint milk chocolate. Dried dark fruit flavors gains balance with bready caramel tones, and just a faint finishing touch of bitterness to round this out. Medium bodied, soft and smooth carbonation, drying, dark fruit finish. Thanks to Hopscotch for providing the bottle on this warm Florida beach day…

Bottle. Pours a clear brown body with thin head. Aroma is pleasant, brown sugar and dried fruit. Flavor is soft and slightly sweet. Mild carbonation and light yeast/bready taste.

Pours a deep dark ruby beer. Nose if of bread, hops, raisins and dates. A malty chewy mouthfeel. Tatse is strong, less so than the 10. Some silkiness and vinous characteristics.

11.2 oz bottle-A dark amber light brown body with a head that dissipates into a small ring. Aroma of yeast and malt. Taste of malt, yeast, and alcohol. Not bad but not as good as the other in their profile or other dubbels.

Aroma is a sweet malt scent with back tones of charcoal. Color is a deep hazy brown with good carbonation and thin tight head. Taste is malty and roasted. Starting with a medium body it goes down crisp. finish comes in with an almost sour malt flavor that turns smoky with a charcoal taste that lingers on into a dry after taste. Its an odd flavoring and a very odd brew for Rochefort. There is none of the Belgian flavor that is present in there other brews and this charcoal thing just seems out of place. Still a good brew just very different.

Not exactly sure what to think of this one. Medium brown opaque color, aroma of apple and belgian yeast. Thin, wannabe complex taste of chocolate, yeast, raisins. Disappointing compared to its brother and sister.
