The color is redbrown and slightly hazy with a beutiful light brown head. The flavor is fruity, alcohol sweet and "brown" (like a brown Belgian beer). An OK ale - but thin for a trappist. Dark amber, hazy with a small tan head. Very fruity nose - fresh fruit rather. Lots of yeasty flavours here, dry with notes of cocoa and perhaps licorice. Spicy and solid alright but an easier beer to drink than the the two big Roches. Fine introduction to the style. 240599 omhper (12229), Stockholm, Sweden

Thick creamy and light brown head. LOVELY floral yeast and slight sweet caramel aroma. Slight acidic and citric flavour, soon to go into a slight floral composition, with a solid sweet malt base. Ends in a slight spiced and distinct herbal finish. Great by all measures. fonefan (11588), VestJylland, Denmark

Sour grapefruit and earthy notes in aroma, very bitterish. Sweet plum along with grainy/mouldy earthy notes. Extremely complex, though still I find it quite boring. Some yeasty notes in finish. joergen (8610), Frederiksberg, Denmark
