Slightly musty brown sugar aroma with milk chocolate undertones. Cloudy ochre with chunks, enormous tan head. Hyperalcoholic feel to it. Dusty pear flavor with a chestnut finish. I completely poured it wrong but aside from that, this was quite enjoyable. Not terribly complex and the alcohol was obtrusive, but it still tasted good.

Nice heavy aroma of bread-yeast and sweet malt. Light brown, very thick, nice carbonation and great lacing. Breadish taste, very pleasant and smooth, absolutely no bumps in the flavour, the malt and alcohal taste linger after you swallow reminding you that it is a beer your drinking. Quite nice, but I know the 8 and 10 are better! can’t wait.

Bottle. Pours a murky brown color with an eggshell colored small foamy head. Nose is light alcohol, nutty and doughy, with a light caramel note. Palate is full, fluffy and lightly warming. Flavors of doughy bready malts, light nuts and caramel, a nice alcohol warming and a dry finish.

Out of an 11.2 oz bottle, poured beautifully with medium cream appearance and nice foam head. Enticing aroma of malt, brown candii sugar, yeast and sligt melon note. Palate is fair to midland on the side of being slightly thin. Taste showcases decent malt character, hints of honeydew melon, brown sugar tones and slight bitterness. Overall, a warming experience well worth the 7 bucks! A unique tasting beer parading on a stage of its own.

11.2 oz. bottle shared by Andy in St. Louis, bought at Wine and Cheese Place there. Pours a cloudy golden brown color with a small off-white head that leaves a film after quickly dissipating. Aroma of caramel, raisin, butter, meat, mixed sweet fruits (especially cherry), Belgian yeast. Complex, well-balanced flavor of caramel, bread, yeast, sweet malts, raisin, cherry, toast, vanilla, and subtle alcohol. Medium body and carbonation. I will be interested to try this along with the 8 and 10 as a comparison.

Bottled. Aroma is fruity and alcohol also sweet with maltier backbone as beer warms. Specifically Granny Smith apple tart smell with a very yeasty feel also and the beer is very carbonated and alive. Dangerously drinkable, with flavor notes of citrus, lots of tangier fruit, and a light spice comes through in end although i cant put my finger on it. Light to medium body with clean mouthful. This beer might actually "justify the ways of God to men." ~J. Milton
