a very spicy aroma. cinnamon and all spice hits the nose. Dark amber in color with some cloudiness. Nice head with spices floating in the foam. Full bodied mouthfeel with plenty of carbonation present. Flavor is spicy malts with a distinct alcohol taste. Bitter aftertaste. Great beer. Recommended.

Bottle 33cl. Amber-black beer with a huge head. This beer has an huge fruit panel flavour : resin, black currant, rhubarb, bit of grass. (same as the other Rochefort but as the alcool is less they become more widly). Some dark malt flavour at the finish, quite dry and less bitter.

bottle. pours dark, but relatively clear mahogany with a fizzy offwhite head. aroma of dark fruits, figs, plum, raisins, grapes, medicine. flavor is dark fruit skins, caramel, brown sugar, spices, hay. There is a peculiar sharp plum skin note that sticks out in the flavor. well carbonated. alcohol is well hidden. If you like plums, raisins, and tasty quaffable belgian beers you shoud like this.

Pours a very hazy brown, with alot more fizz than expected. Thin creamy head, flavors of smooth toasted malts and barley. In comparison to the other brews Rochefort the carbonation is really high, but it’s an enjoyable brew none the less.

Poured from 330ml to a Bruery tulip glass. Bottle code: 28 01 14 14:31 Poured a hazy amber color with a nice off white head, great lacing and retention. The nose was very fruity and spicy. The initial taste was a bit sweet and a bit sour to me. I tasted fruity apple, caramel , lots of spice and a bit of an alcohol taste. Light to medium body, a little sticky with great carbonation. This was my first from Rochefort, and it was good - although not my favorite of the trappists so far.

Bottle pours deep amber with a khaki head. Aroma is heavy in dough, red apple, and caramel. Flavor shows the same with additional notes of red berries and tea. Overall body is pretty light for this style and abv, but alc is only slightly noticeable.

Pours caramel with a minimal cream head. Doughy aromas with toasted malt and caramel. Taste is subtle. Caramel, red fruits, some citrus tastes with a warm alcohol ending.

Bottle. Dark brown cloudy pour with a great big tan head. Aroma of raisins, caramel and toffee. Medium body with great natural carbonation. Fantastic taste of dark fruit, Belgian yeast and caramel.
