Bottle. Pours a murky brown with a bunch of floaters and a one finger beige head. The nose is light fruit and caramel. The taste is earth, light chocolate, fruit and caramel with some light booze. Medium prickly mouthfeel. It’s good, but I expected more since the 10 is one of my favorite beers.

Pours cloudy deep brown with a huge creamy off-white head. Weak fruity aroma. Taste is certainly not weak at all, here are rich dark fruits, sweet malts and warming alcohol. Decent one!

Very dark hazy brown with tons of effervescence bubbles floating to the top, very nice crown was floating on top it started about an inch tall then reduced to a thick skiff that was constantly replenished, walls of lacing was left behind. Smooth sweet banana aroma with tons of earthy spicy notes the 9.2% is not even noticeable. I think I’m picking up some subtle milk chocolate in the aroma, such a good smell I’ve been sniffing for 30 minuets now and the complex aroma is still intriguing me. First sip caught me off guard it was a little harsh but felt thick and creamy. The alcohol is noticeable in the flavor but barely, lots of earthy malts and touches of spice with tons of banana. There is no after taste but something in this flavor is reminding of a frosty from Wendy’s. This is a very tasty high quality & complex brew but its only a mere shadow compared to its big brother the 10

Pours a cloudy brown with a huge pillowy head that sticks around indefinitely. Aroma is weak, vaguely of a Belgian abbey ale; Just a little brown sugar, bread, and fruit on the nose. Flavor is tasty, but just par for a trappist Belgian; Nothing new or extraordinary; sweet breadiness, yeast, brown sugar. Not too profound, but very drinkable. Very creamy, as is to be expected. Mouthfeel is very nice; Perfect fizz coupled with cream and thick viscosity. Not nearly as good as the 10, but a decent substitute for which if necessary. Overall, very good minus.

Pours a cloudy reddish-black with a creamy off-white head. Tasted this one a month after trying the 10, which was clearly far superior...but the 8 is still worthy of a taste. Thinner, lighter, and perhaps more crisp, the sediment seemed to permeate this 8 far more and clouded some of the malt and fruit flavors.

Aroma is similar to rum cake with some very ripe fruit. Appearance is dark brown with plentiful flecks throughout the liquid. Head was gone sooner than expected. Flavor chocked full of molasses, ripe plums, currant, chocolate and other complexities. This palate is very fizzy and bubbly with a hint of alcohol. Word to your mother.
