Pours a medium amber-brown with a creamy tan head that lasted and left nice lacing. Great aroma of chocolate and ripe fruits, with some spiciness and malt. Flavor is amazing, malty and fruity giving way to some alcohol on the finish. A truly great beer.

Pours a reddish brown color with a beige foamy head. Good carbonation and a thick head that seemed to disappear quickly. Slight floral smell with some fruit and spice. A little bitter aftertaste with a definate alcohol feel. Overall a great beer. Dont be surprised by the small size it packs a kick at 9.2% alcohol.

Pours a slightly reddish brown colour, with a creamy beige foam, not as lasting as the foam of it’s weaker cousin, the 6. The aroma goes for dry fruits, malt and some burned wood. As it goes dense into the mouth, the flavors start to appear gently. Dark fruits, roasted wood and malt, faint coffee and chocolate. The aftertaste throws a large bouquet, mainly lightly bitter, with roasted malt and some fruitness to it. Although it not stand long, the alcohol feel sticks and makes the experience quite outstanding. Long live to those wise trappists monks.

Appearance: Pours a lively, clear, reddish-brown body topped by a large, off-white head. Smell: Lightly spiced aroma with notes of caramel, breadcrusts, six flowers, dried fruits, a bit of booze, and freshly brewed white tea. Taste: Flavors of toasted bread and sweet carmael with brown sugar-coated bananas and a hint of dried cherries. Savory yeast character. Slight bitterness, but it’s generally on the sweet side throughout. Toasty finish with a hint of that warming booze. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. After some fizzing, after some fussing, it settles to a medium carbonation. Drinkability: This is a very good beer, I won’t lie to you.

*liked it, may buy it again* smell: nice fruit after a hint of banana. very warm soft fruit malts, hint of booze. smells very nice! app: nice garnet amber magic goodness. nice head. flavor: nice brown malts up front then banana then red fruits and berries. nice clean finish, GREAT BALANCE. a lil bit of booze in the finish that adds a sharpness. this is a grand belgian. touch to many nanners and a lil sharp on the booze. palate: lil bit carbonated nice and smooth though. like the silky feel. OA: really good for a belgian, wish it had more brown malt flavoring, .. but.. this is really good. i find that the slower i sip it the better it tastes.
