Aug 20, 2009 Pour a hazy cola brown color with a creamy, tan head. Aroma is of baked banana bread, rasins, brown sugar, carmel, and yeast. flavor is of toasted malts, banana, chocolate, yeast, licorice, carmel, rasins, dark fruit, and a lttile port charcter. has medium body and swetness. high abv is somewhat noticable but not overpowering. finnish moderatly bitter and slighty sour. this is extremely tasty and complex beer that has alot going on.

Aroma: Caramelly nose.
Appearance: Nice brown, hazy color.
Flavor: Medium sweetness with just a taste of sour.
Palate: Medium body.
Overall: A pretty nice and tasty beer - My first beer rating on Rate Beer!

Aug 12, 2009 09-08-12 330 ml bottle dark caramel colour. off-white fading head. nice spicey and fruity taste with alcohol present. the 10 is a bit better I think.

Aug 11, 2009 Pours hazy amber brown with a fairly thin cream colored head. Aroma is fruity and estery with a little bit of banana coming through. Flavor is caramel, dark and light fruits, esters, and even a nice slight hop presence. Very good stuff.

Aug 8, 2009 Poured from a 11.2oz bottle into a Chimay goblet.
The color is a dark burgundy and pretty cloudy with a light brownish head. Some slight lacing.
The smell is sweet with some yeasty aroma with a malt presence that is quite unbelievable. Some licorice flavor mixed in with some bready, grainy flavor.
The taste is sweet at first and then does punch with some really nice flavoring. Good warm hints of raisins, some other dried fruit I can’t quite place at this time.Flavor reminds me not of bread but of dough.
The feel of this beer is quite pleasing. It is light, a bit tangy but well balanced

Aug 8, 2009 33cl bottle poured into a Rochefort Trappist glass. Dark brown with two finger creamy lasting tan head. Aroma is musty at first, then dark fruit and hints of yeast. Flavor is roasty with notes of dark fruit, licorice, slight alcohol. Medium carbonation, smooth, medium body. Finish is moderately bitter with hints of malty sweetness and a small dose of warming alcohol. Very nice.
