| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 5, 2009 Bottle. Dark murky brown pour with a decent beige head on top. Dark fruit aroma. Taste is dark fruit, caramel, hint of chocolate, quite sweet. A nicely balanced easy drinking version of Rochefort 10. Belgian beer at its best. bw1982 (73), , Florida, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 3, 2009 11.2 oz bottle. Pours a dark golden almost brown color, rich tan head. The aroma is fantastic, there is some bread, some tobacco-like spice, and a little bit of dried fruit. The palate is near perfect, not too light or too dense. The carbonation is alive but not bouncy, and the alcohol is only prevalent as a warm sensation at the end. The flavors include some spice, and a little bit of dried fruit and of course malted grain. Great beer! petematte46 (218), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Aug 29, 2009 couple years ago all the local abc liquor stores knocked the price down on these to $1.99 - so I drove around and bought all of them. thirty or so. yet somehow I didn’t manage to get a rating in. with that preface - bottle. dark rich brown pour with a large beign head and tons of retention. there are little brown floaties on the side of the glass. spicy aroma of light tobacco, bread and dark fruits. think I always notice the texture first with these - perfect medium palate with consistent lively carbonation and nice warming alcohol in the finish. sugary caramel malt taste with pepper spices, plums and cereal. still a great beer. danielst (137), Vienna, Austria
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Aug 27, 2009 I was really excited to finally try this since I was a bit disappointed by Rochefort 6 and flabbergasted by R. 10... A hazy dark red pour with a typical stable and frothy head. The aroma reminds me a lot of the empty wooden barrels of red wine in my uncle’s winery, together with light caramel and whiskyish notes. Definitaley a citric component too, not sure about its origin. The flavour is... Wow, really amazing - mouthfilling, warming chocolate/walnuts, dark, ripe fruits and again delicious sweet caramel. Light roasted malt in the finish, together with a nice bitterness. The carbonation is medium but very adequate, complementing the mouth-coating creaminess this beauty leaves behind. This is similar to Rochefort 10, yet a gem on its own - more drinkable and less annihilating alcohol-wise. Love it! viet959 (70), , Georgia, USA

Perfect beer, I just think I have had to many now to give it a fair rating...
I can barely read my own notes, so definately...
