| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 14, 2003 Dark amber color. Aroma of malt, bread, candi sugar, lightly fruity (strawberries). Malty, not really viscous, a delicate but evident liquorice taste at the mid-end, alcohol touch. Good but not astonishing palate. I don't know exactely why, but I expected more... Improves a lot when pouring the sediment. KimJohansen (7125), Copenhagen V, Denmark

Hazey reddish brown colour with beige head. Aroma is stunning. Bitter choc with sweet black cherry and dark fruit nose some raisin/sherry/whiskey. more choc in mouth with sweetish dark fruit and again the same cherry/raisin/sherry flabours but on the end a burst of spicey hops. Never gets too sweet. Some orange as well. Unbelievably good with a slight alcoholic warming kick at the end TBone (6803), Pori, Finland

Looks like "home beer", hazy brown, rapidly vanishing creamy light brown sizzling head. Aroma is alcohol, prune and yeast. Carbonated palate, starts smooth, finishing with alcoholic kick. After taste crisp and alcoholic, very warming.
