Bottle at Falling Rock. Pours a rich and lovely brown with a healthy head and clinging lace. Aroma is a bit of roasted malt. Flavor is a bit sour, with hints of roasted malt and bready yeast. Palate is flowing, but a bit watery.

Bottle. Dark brown, cloudy, with a thick white head. Fruity aroma with some sweetness. Pleasant, somewhat creamy mouthfeel with a moderate carbonation. Flavor is fruity, with some yeast character and well integrated sweetness and alcohol.

Fruity, cherry, apple, cinnamon, bubble gum, honey, alcohol aroma comes out of this nutbrown-red ale with the creamy beige head. Spicey, malty, toasted grain flavor with a moderate alcohol flavor. Fizzy carbonation and a moderate finish, rolling over all the tasted flavors. Very nice, well balanced and for me more likeable than the Rochefort 10

Dark, hazy reddish brown. Thick foam of a light tan rests on the surface. a much richer head than the Rochefort 10. sweet flavors of malt. Honey and roasted almonds. this beer tastes just like candy. The roasted nuts and pecans you get at the fest. magical beer. I would rather have the 8 on a more common basis than the stronger darker 10.

Soft brown, poured with a thick head that slowly faded til the end. Sweet bing cherry malt, toffee. Effervesent yet soft on the palate. finished with a dry, light sweetness.

Bottle: Murky brown, dark, large beige head settles quickly, lively carbonation, enjoyable lacing.   Chocolate malt aroma, lightly spiced, with notes of dark pitted fruit and very soft apple skin.   Bready start, spicey, slight phenols, warming, with a touch of chocolate malt.   Very smooth, not terribly thick, but a well hidden ABV.   Spices, traces of dark pitted fruit and apple skin on the finish.   Tasty!
