| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Oct 11, 2003 Murky brown orange. Nice long lasting off-white head. Lacing is outstanding. Aroma is alcohol, currant, and bread. Flavor is sweet with a good dose of alcohol. Not quite as complex as the 10 but still very nice. Sweet syrupy body and aftertaste. Alcohol really develops in the aftertaste then the true complexity of the flavors really come out. emacgee (1892), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 9, 2006 Poured a dark mahogany color. The head was tan, creamy, and large. Lacing was minimal if even existant. I immediately smelled fruity esters, mainly raisins, upon pouring. Upon drinking I tasted some complex alcohol esters and mainly raisin with complex yeast. Not very hoppy, mainly malts. The finish tasted of fermented grape. Overall a very respectable beer, not mind blowing, but easily appreciated. Beerdedone (1885), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA

Big plum nose as the others with all sorts of added treasures. Vanilla and cinnemon along with unidentifiable spices. Fruity throughout, rich malty middle and medium dry end. Candi sugar and alcohol in the afterglow. Awesome, one of the best beers out there! BeerLimey (1873), California, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 16, 2003 Lively pour, plenty of foam, dense mahogany appearance. Winey aroma with mint and coriander tones, chocolate and sweet light berries. Malty flavor with initial hints of licorice, creamy banana and toffee in the middle. Fairly bitter in the finish with cognac alcohol like warmth.
