Weak fruity aroma, although similar to Roc. 6, much improved version of it. Some caramel, too. Flavor...fantastic. Fruity, pretty complex, very full bodied. A bit sweet, but bitter on the other side, everything in the sign of dark fruits. Can’t say it is well balanced, it’s simply a masterpiece! Finish is sweetish and long, reflected by the flavor, very nice and as such leaving a big smile on my face. Excellent beer, simply fantastic. prsmatt (3), Colorado, USA does not count | 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Sep 22, 2007 Dark slightly cloudy pour with a creamy off-white head that remained all the way to the bottom of the glass. Slightly larger carbonation bubbles than I expected but not objectionable in any way. Thick malty flavour that became more banana-like as it warmed. Very sweet smooth finish. Big, smooth mouth feel. Excellent beer even at $4/bottle. AMN (127), Dublin, Pennsylvania, USA

Delicious when warm. Best beer I’ve had yet; absolutely worth the price tag. Can’t wait to try the 10. davidm (168), Melbourne, Australia

Malty chocolate and fruit notes in the aroma. Plenty of maltiness and alcohol in the body (but still very drinkable and not unpleasantly alcoholic at all), with a fairly complex overall palate. mcberko (153), British Columbia, Canada
