Bottle. This is my highest rated beer and for good reason. Hazey reddish brown colour with beige head. Aroma is stunning. Bitter choc with sweet black cherry and dark fruit nose some raisin/sherry/whiskey. more choc in mouth with sweetish dark fruit and again the same cherry/raisin/sherry flabours but on the end a burst of spicey hops. Never gets too sweet. Some orange as well. Unbelievably good with a slight alcoholic warming kick at the end

Best damn beer I ’ve ever had, except for their 10.. I’ve had alot of types from all over the world. I’ve not yet had Westvleteren, but I find it hard to believe anything can be better than this beer. This is a shining jewel in the beer world. It is the Holy Grail (or is that ’Holy Ale?). Best damn beer I’ve ever had!!! Except for their 10.

Very dark and with a lot of comlex tastes! This is beer!!! (duh ;p) Magnificent beer, as good as the rochefort 10! It gets better and better with the time! A lot of fermentation

hzy-mhgy, thk-tan-dns-fmy-hd, thk-lace, med-co2, full-bod,

dark-fruit malt sweet crmy §cheese aroma,

fruity malt T1, §bitter sweet-malt §mnrl T2k warm §malt T3,
§funky(bier de garde goodness) and warm throughout,
easiest drinking abbey i’ve had.

i’m sorry but i can really not degrade this beer in anyway... now tell me i’m wrong, and i will stand behind this beer any day

A great beer not the strength of the rochefort 10 but it has a very nice taste. A topper in beer land

Flaske. Den perfekte øl. Drukket til mit bryllup, og hver eneste gang den smages viser den en ny side af sig selv. Sidste gang var det nødder og portvin, denne gang en let syrlig karamel. Fantastisk.

Bottle from Sandbar, Manchester. Dark opaque mahogany colour, so dense that light doesn’t penetrate, with a thin coffee coloured head. Aroma only hints at the alcohol and is mainly rich fruit - figs, raisins and a touch of banana. Huge flavours - figs and raisins again, apricot and mango with chocolate and muscovado maltiness all overlain with a lovely touch of vanilla. A subtle touch of spice comes through in the long finish. Wonderfully smooth on the palate, the creamy smoothness completely masks the high alcohol content. A beautiful experience and is far from overshadowed by its big brother.
