Pours a dark deep ruby with a fizzy tan head. A strong nose on this one, dominant raisiny fruity aromas, not unlike a barley wine, theres some spice buried under the fruit; probably cinnamon, a bit yeasty smelling too. Sweet fruity raisin flavours drenched in caramel and roasted malt dominate the flavour. This sweetness is balanced perfectly by a light hop bitterness. The caramel and malt sits on your tongue for some time after, begging for another sip of this extraordinary beer. I almost don’t believe the ABV of 9.2% as I don’t detect any flavour of alcohol at all. A simply amazing beer, well deserving of it’s 33rd placing in the Ratebeer top 100! daknole (3000), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA

Small retention (maybe too cold). Aroma is rich, sweet, dark fruits. cherryish, Some alcohol also. Hints of raisins. Good amount of carbonation. Hints of alcohol but not too much. A bit dry on the finish and a bit bitter. Nice balance. Malty, a tiny bit spicy. Really feels like the 10 without all the warmth. Would have to have them back to back to be sure. Rating #100 !!! Pours a dark clear brown colour with a good size head, that lasts.
Very complex smell that I can’t specifically put my finger on, noneless it’s brilliant.
Flavour also very nice, can pick out raisins, pineapple and pear, but I tasted the beer too cold so I could be mistaking here.
Goes down great, no trace of the alcohol, definitly one of my favorites!

Creamy, full, smooth body. Complex grain, fruit, vineous character. Amazing. Bierkrug (300), Idar-Oberstein (in Pakistan), Germany

However that beng said it had a nice brown color with a light brown head with perfect lacing. Aroma of brown sugar. Alcohol not well hiden bt it grows on you when you drink it. Over all a great beer but not something that I want to drink all of the time.
