Aroma is ripen dark fruits and malts with a little bit of yeast. This beer goes down super smooth with a fruity taste, grapes stand out. It finishes with a caramel-chocolate taste. This is truely a great beer and one for anyone to try. Borresteijn (1441), Amsterdam, Netherlands

Pours very deep dark brown, like dark chocolate, with a creamy beige head. Aroma is imo the only "flaw", it could have been stronger. Subtle aroma of dark fruits, mostly malts and dark chocolate, some alcohol. Flavour is soft, malts, lots of dark chocolate, some dark fruits and a bit of alcohol. The beauty of this beer is that you don’t have to work your way through a load of sugary sweetness like with so many other dark strong ales. Soft and creamy mouthfeel, nice lingering finish, full bodied. Duhast500 (204), , Massachusetts, USA

The color is a dark burgundy and pretty cloudy with a light brownish head. Some slight lacing.
The smell is sweet with some yeasty aroma with a malt presence that is quite unbelievable. Some licorice flavor mixed in with some bready, grainy flavor.
The taste is sweet at first and then does punch with some really nice flavoring. Good warm hints of raisins, some other dried fruit I can’t quite place at this time.Flavor reminds me not of bread but of dough.
The feel of this beer is quite pleasing. It is light, a bit tangy but well balanced tmc90 (17), Belgium

Can buy this for just over one euro a bottle at my local supermarket so there’s always one in my fridge DKthe13 (52), Netherlands

After tasting it again in blind condition i’m sure this is for me the best beer in the world. Malty caracter with a caramal and fruity taste. Great beer with a excellent performance. Only they could have added some more hops to this beer. Absolutly a perfect beer none the less. mcberko (171), British Columbia, Canada

| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Nov 19, 2009 Murky brown pour, medium-sized and lingering light beige head. Malty chocolate and fruit notes in the aroma. Plenty of maltiness and alcohol in the body (but still very drinkable and not unpleasantly alcoholic at all), with a fairly complex overall palate. iamqueensblvd (233), , Iowa, USA
