First of all, I very, very much liked this brew versus the Rochefort 10. This was a much smoother tasting Rochefort than the 10. It poured a large invigorating tan head with fine-small bubbles. It had a fruity aroma to it and the lacing on the sides of my glass was fair. The body was light brown, yeasty, and murky. This was one fine smooth and enjoyable drink. However, I still prefer a Westy 12 over a Rochefort.

Aug 20, 2008 An amazing beer. Great color with light lacing. Smells great with low hop aroma. Warms you up nicely but not as much as the 10. Well worth drinking if you can’t get the 10 or are looking for something lighter.

Aug 19, 2008 Bottle. Much like the description says. It is almost identical to the Rochefort 10. Smells of fig and plum, maybe some apple. Very well balanced beer. Better then the 6 weaker then the 10. Still a great beer and a must try.

Aug 19, 2008 Had this in Gent Belgium. The aroma of this beer is very interesting. lots of dark fruits as well as some banana and other spices. The Flavor is similar to the aroma. very fruity but well balanced, This is one of my favorite beers and I always keep a bottle or 2 at home.

Aug 16, 2008 I drank this one too fast with my PBnJ, I know that it had notes of candied fruits, baking spices and more..., appearance was perfect with a fine soapy head that lasted for quite some time, dark reddish brown body and fine effers, flavor was awesome with my sandwich, balanced with the peanut butter and marmelade, LOL... palate, creamy, oilly and tickley on the tongue... I’m going to have another one, and savor it the next time ;>)

does not count  Aug 16, 2008 I found it to be very drinkable such as settling in for an afternoon of football sitting back in a comfortable chair, perhaps with your computer in front of you as you watch the games. What could be sweeter than great football and a really good solid beer that after a couple you know you’ve been drinking beer.
